We want to thank everyone who attended our gallery show at the Oasis Cafe in April. We had a very successful and rewarding show. Some of our work is still on display and for sale at the Braided Bookstore located next to the Oasis Cafe, 151 South 500 East in Salt Lake City, phone 801/322-0404.
Recent photography requests have included taking photographs of artist's work, touch up model/actor photographs, and taking new housing architectural photographs for brochures and advertisements. We have also been accepted in the Pioneer Art and Craft Market again this year and plan to be full time vendors. Please come visit us on Saturdays from 8:00am until 1:00pm beginning June 14 through October 18 at Pioneer Park, 400 South 400 West in Salt Lake City. Photography trips planned this year include Lake Tahoe, Germany and Austria.
Creative plans this year include experimenting with printing larger photographs on specialty papers, sealing the photograph so no glass is required (of you can use glass) in the framing process and then faux finishing the mat and the frame to compliment the photograph. We believe the results have turned out great.
We use the latest development and technique in digital cameras, printers, scanners, and specialty papers. Some of our work has been enhanced by using medium gels and the use of our own art work (watercolors and sketches) that are scanned in and overlaid on the photographs.
We also replicate/restore faded and torn historical photographs. We can replicate paintings to look like the originals (with written permission by the artist). This procedure works especially well with watercolor paintings because the painting is replicated using the same size and watercolor paper the artist used for his or her masterpiece. It is almost impossible to tell which is the original and which is the reproduction.
Our travels throughout the United States, Europe, and the Middle East have brought some unusual and splendid photograph opportunities.
